Back to School

Hey guys,


So for most of you, school is either starting sometime this week or next week and you have some kind of online or hybrid learning system. Although this may be new and unexpected, we believe you will do fantastic! Just a few reminders as we begin transitioning out of our summer hype to the slow droll of school days.

  1. It can be very hard to keep track of things you have to do, especially given the online learning, so maybe use a calendar or a planner to help you remember your homework/tests/deadlines

  2. Try not to procrastinate! I definitely procrastinate a lot and since online learning began, it is probably super hard to stay motivated, but try your best not to procrastinate so that your work doesn’t pile up and you don’t end up super stressed! Maybe have a friend or a parent or sibling keep you accountable for your deadlines so you have some motivation.

  3. Don’t forget to take breaks once in a while, go for a walk, stretch, have a snack. Being stuck at home can be mentally tiring so if you find yourself getting too stressed or tired, maybe get some fresh air and give your mind a break!

  4. Know that your teachers are there for you. If you have any problems, try communicating them with your teachers, and they can hopefully help you figure some things out.

  5. Keep a schedule - while stuck at home, we all know the feeling of wanting to just stay in bed all day, but with school starting, it is important to still make sure you get your daily work done.

  6. In these last few days before school begins, start preparing yourself mentally for what is going to come

  7. Eat breakfast! I know I am at a folly for not eating breakfast and sometimes lunch when school starts, BUT MAKE SURE YOU EAT! IT IS IMPORTANT FOR YOU TO FUNCTION!

  8. And remember that YOU GOT THIS!! You’re gonna do great and even if it takes you a while to adapt to this new system of learning, just know that it’s okay! Give yourself some time to adjust!
