Banana Bread Recipe!

Hi all! Hope you had a great week! During our time in quarantine, baking has been super fun and a stress-relieving activity. One recipe that we have found to be really delicious and satisfying is this banana bread recipe.

Some Comments From Us

  1. If you don’t have baking soda, eno fruit salt is a wonderful substitute

  2. The recipe asks for ¾ cups of sugar, but we have found that around ⅓ - ⅗ cups of sugar to be sweet enough

  3. When mashing the bananas, use a fork! It saves a lot of time and effort

  4. Bake your loaf for around 50 minutes and use the toothpick test to see if its cooked (insert a toothpick into the center of the loaf, and if it comes out clean, it should be ready)

  5. If you are using a larger and flatter pan, your loaf will be shorter and the cooking time required will be less

  6. When melting butter, you can either do it in the microwave or on a stove top. It can get pretty hot, and make sure your butter does not burn

  7. If you don’t have vanilla extract, no worries! You can use imitation vanilla extract as well.

  8. Choose bananas that are very ripe. This can be a great way to get rid of the overripe bananas you have
