Sugar Cookies Recipe!

Updated: Aug 3, 2020

Hey guys,

Today, we’re gonna share an amazing recipe for sugar cookies! They are so soft and delicious and if you have time, please check it out! It is great for a family dessert and can be enjoyed plain or with ice cream and other candies. Hope you enjoy!

Tips:

  1. For a serving size of 24 cookies, the recipe says to use ¾ cup of sugar. I suggest using a little less sugar, because ¾ cup of sugar tends to make them a little too sweet.

  2. If you don’t have baking soda, there’s an alternative called Eno (fruit salt) which works pretty well too.

  3. If the cookies harden after the first couple days, try microwaving them and they will be soft again.

  4. When you’re putting the dough on the cookie sheets, put tiny balls (around one teaspoon), so that when they’re done, they’re flat and medium sized because they expand a lot.

  5. The recipe says to bake them for 8 to 10 minutes. I baked mine for 9 minutes and they were a little burnt, so take them out when the edges of the cookies are turning golden.

  6. Make sure the butter is really softened or melted to prevent the batter from becoming crumbly.

  7. If you’re making 24 cookies, the recipe says to use half an egg. I beat an egg and poured half of it into the mixture. You can use the other half to make an omelet so that you don’t have to waste it!

  8. I didn’t personally try this, but I think these would taste great with M&Ms in them, so if you try adding them, I’d love to hear how they turned out!

Hopefully, you guys try this recipe out and enjoy the cookies as much as we did! We’d love to know how your cookies turned out so feel free to share some pictures! Have fun baking! :)
