Hi all, today we bring you a post regarding the importance of exercise!
In these times where gyms are closed and it seems that we are all trapped inside, it is still important to take care of yourself, both physically and mentaly. It has been proven that exercise is both beneficial for your physical health, but your mental health as well. Exercising or any other form of physical activity releases endorphins which help you get better sleep and reduce stress. Studies have also proven that an increase in exercise can help those struggling with low self-esteem and anxiety. Exercising helps stimulate your mind and body, and serves as a distraction from being stuck indoors all day. There are so many different things you can do to get some physical activity - going for a quick walk outside, dancing, playing a sport in your backyard, and cardio workouts are just a few!
Our Tips on Exercise
Find a friend - finding someone to work out with you, whether through video call or setting a fixed time can help you find motivation and accountability
We found that just doing the workouts, while extremely beneficial, could get very bland after a while. As a result, we resorted to getting our exercise in through dance workouts, zumba, kickboxing, etc.
Water, water, water! Make sure that after exercising to replenish your cells with water! Dehydration is not fun.
Don’t compare yourself to others. Enjoy the process and watch yourself grow!
If you are exercising on a hardwood floor, it is recommended you get a yoga mat or some form of cushioning to not bruise your back.
We typically followed some youtube videos for our exercise, but there are always plenty of apps and other ways to get information on exercises to do.
Music! It seems silly, but having a background music makes the time fly as your muscles are stretching and ripping. Having it play in the background will be greatly helpful!
Hope this helps!
